The La Trobe Accelerator Program is a novel initiative that looks to support international students to gain relevant industry experience by working within the startup business community.
This is a 12-week program that combines several teams of students from different universities in Victoria with potential investors, mentors and business coaches.
This is also a unique opportunity for international students to network and learn from other like-minded mentors and students from a wide range of backgrounds and experience.
With the support of Launch Vic, startups teams who gain successful entry into this prestigious and inspiring accelerator program receive up to $20,000 on equity-free seed funding so they can invest that into their startups.
Insight Academy is constantly looking to build relationships and collaborations with the top players of the industry to provide students with the best opportunities to bring their ideas to life.
Last year Martin Cuellar’s project (student at Insight Academy) was one of the finalists in the 2019 edition of the program.
Martin’s project is called Bamba Chocolate and they are supporting change through fine flavour Colombian chocolate and support farmers to swap from illegal crops to cacao cultivation.
